The Trade-In KBB Value Tool — or Kelley Blue Book® Trade-In Value tool — is easy to use and the best option for determining your current vehicle trade-in value. To start, go to the Shopping Tools tab on the main menu and scroll down. Then click on KBB Trade-In Value in the lefthand column. You’ll be brought to a page with a calculator.
Enter Your Information
To begin the trade-in valuation process, you’ll want to enter some simple information about your vehicle. You can do this by typing out the make and model or searching by VIN or even license plate. The dropdown menu will begin to autofill, and you can make your selection from recommended models. Next, you’ll need to input the contact information where you want the report sent. Before the report can be calculated, you’ll be asked a series of questions about the mileage and condition of the vehicle.
Submit Your Trade-In Request
During calculations, you’ll see an estimated vehicle value on the left-hand side of the calculator tool. The official trade-in value report will be sent to the phone or email address you have submitted once all the answers are complete. Once you know your vehicle trade-in value, you’ll be able to set a budget for the next model and begin the new vehicle purchasing process.
